Jeff Spafford, President and CEO,
has over 15 years of experience working in the Specialty Distribution Channel. Mr. Spafford started his career in the physician practice management industry. In 1999, Mr. Spafford formed OncoScripts, one of the first specialty pharmacies focusing on the drug replacement model contracting directly with large national payors. In December of 2000, Mr. Spafford sold the business to CuraScript, a Florida based payor focused specialty pharmacy. Moving his family to Central Florida he became Senior Vice President responsible for Managed Care and Physician Sales and all marketing aspect of the organization. After leaving CuraScript, Mr. Spafford co-founded and became President and CEO of Advanced Care Scripts, in 2005 and successfully sold and transitioned the business to Omnicare, Inc. in 2008. He holds a BA in Economics from St. Lawrence University and a MBA from The Harvard Business School. Jeff along with his wife Amy have four children and live in Windermere, Florida.
Edward Hensley, Chief Brand/Business Development Officer,
a native Texan, brings a vast knowledge of working in the specialty segment from all perspectives. Beginning his healthcare career in the infusion industry, he concentrated on chronic and life sustaining therapies and developed and implemented comprehensive programs that involved every stakeholder; patients, physicians, pharmacy providers, payers and pharmaceutical manufacturers. Accepting a new challenge, he moved over to a small unprofitable division of the organization focused primarily on the growing self-injectable and relatively unknown specialty pharmacy market. Within one year a management led buyout of the division took place and the organization was immediately re-branded as CuraScript. As Vice President he was responsible for all drug manufacturer contracting including business and program development until his departure in 2004 post the Express Scripts transaction. In the fall of 2005, Mr. Hensley founded and was a managing partner at Advanced Care Scripts, Inc., based in Orlando, Florida. After experiencing explosive growth, in late 2008 he sold and transitioned the business to Omnicare, Inc. based in Covington, Kentucky. He holds a BA in English from The University of Texas at Austin and a Masters in Business Administration from The Jones School of Business at Rice University. Mr. Hensley and his family currently reside in Windermere, Florida.
Adam Stotts, Vice President of Operations,
has over eight (8) years of experience working in specialty pharmacy. Formerly, Mr. Stotts held the position as Director of Business Strategy of Advanced Care Scripts, Inc., in charge of manufacturer programs and development reimbursement operations. In his role, Mr. Stotts implemented various types of reimbursement, financial assistance, and compliance and persistency programs.
Jacques Fu, Vice President of IT,
has a diverse corporate IT background with over a decade of experience in applications development, corporate governance, and enterprise systems. Mr. Fu has worked as a consultant within the healthcare, banking, and real estate industries. Jacques’ recent experience includes enterprise application development for specialty pharmacy and pharmaceutical corporations, as well as implementing internet banking technology for various regional banks as a consultant for Metavante.
